My Approach
Focussed and fun
My lessons, which are both focussed and fun, take place in The School Room, a relaxed and child-friendly environment. The purpose is to challenge and motivate children to fulfil their potential so that they have the best chance of achieving their goals – whether passing the 11+ exam or improving their learning at school.
Small groups
Following an initial assessment, I teach children in small groups of four so that they can benefit from the interaction with one another. By collaborating to solve problems or by sharing ideas for writing, they push each other towards achieving high standards. The small groups also allow for healthy competition when we use educational games in the lessons.
Partnership
I work in partnership with you, the parent, to help support you as you choose the school which will provide for your child’s physical, emotional, relational, intellectual and spiritual development. Choosing the right school for your child can be challenging and you can draw on my knowledge and experience as a teacher, tutor and mother.
